Our little garden

Due to the recession we have decided to grow our own little vegetable patch and sell the outcome at the farmers markets! We went to B&Q and finally got some little pots of germinated tomatoes, chillies, courgettes and more tomatoes and chillies- 2 varities of tomatoes and chillies- Mr. C likes his food hot and spicy so we got the mexican hot chillies and the ordinary ones, pity they didn't have the birds eye ones, the ones that make your eyes water the minute they hit the pan and makes everyone else in the room cough their poor lungs out! Not bad value now- pick 10 little pots and only pay 8euro for the lot. Pity about the self service pay thing there- don't see how it's self service when there's a lady there holding the scanner thing and scanning your things for you??

So Mr. C got his hands dirty! Didn't even complain about the dirty black soil sticking to the insides of his nails :P

Tat little pink polka dot pot in the picture above is acutally, either mint, basil or oregano! Got them in Next last year and only planting them now! Hopefully they will grow nice n tall :)

Bo wasn't allowed out because she was being bold (wat's new??!!??)

One of the finished trays- we made two of these..

So while the gardener was busy gardening, the chef was busy doing her preps, it's all about the preparation. On the way home we stopped by some wholesale butcher, looked pretty much like an ordinary butcher's though, it did however sell some fresh fish and had some scallops, or as Mr. C would say, 'are they shallots' :D Poor guy keeps getting things mixed up :P We saw some pretty yummy smoked ribs- well seemed lik a good option at the time. Later were we to find it maybe that 3euro could of been spent elsewhere, like another doggie stick treat for the babies.

A bit fatty to say the least with only a tiny bit of meat on them- Bo didn't seem to mind though, Sukes wasn't interested at all.

Chicken wings and stir fried veg were on the menu tonight.

The wings weren't bad and Mr. C liked them- or so he says! I call them sticky soya chicken wing. Yum Yum Yum.

What you looking at!
