How often do M&S get it wrong with dessert ? Not this time anyway. For, I think 4 euro?? it was a pretty good buy. Chocolate cheesecake, yum yum.. The cheesecake itself was not overly chocolately, but light and moussey and the biscuit base was nice and crunchy, just the way a cheesecake base should be :)
Hi to all browsing through my lil blog. I'm trying to become the new domestic goddess trying my experimental cooking and baking on my guinea pig Mr. C and the two babies Sukes and Bo- you know if Sukes eats it, it couldn't be that bad!

Sushi Craving Satisfied... for now
It's been a good long while since I've posted anything new. I guess you could blame it down to a little bit of laziness, ok pure laziness. The thought of typing after having to cook and do the cleaning (Mr.C is working alot lately) takes too much effort :P It really is a hard job doing both jobs, and you REALLY do need a cleaner to clean up after the mess made in the kitchen. Just a simply stir fry served with rice can lead to a filled up dirty kitchen sink. I've been trying to teach the dogs how to wash dishes, still a working process......
Ok so lazy rant over. With the ever so sad news that my favourite Japanese restaurant deciding to shut down and be turned into an Indian restaurant :( :( :( it's tummy sad to realize there won't be anymore crab roe salad, garlicy cucumber things they give you free when you sit down or their I could eat 20 dragon rolls to make these taste buds satisfied, or will there.... remains to be tasted.... Yamamori Sushi will have to do now. With non cheap prices, was it good enough to beat Akasaka? Well it was pretty darn good, minus the crab roe salad :(
I opted for the closest thing to the dragon rolls- Ebi Norimaki- prawn and asparagus tempura with wasabi mayonnaise and capelin roe. It was missing the Kewpie Japanese mayonnaise which is my number one mayo, I'm sure my Jap dinning friends should know by now! And the sushi texture wasn't as 'held together' as Akasaka's. I can't really complain now though as it's probably the closest I'll come to it :( You would think it couldn't be that hard to make- some tempura prawn, cucumber in Kewpie, sushi rice, seaweed and roe, right?

Mr. C went for the Bento Box. Can't remember exactly what was in it, some beef salad, terriyaki trout, tempura cod, sushi and miso soup. No complaints from his mouth. Was pretty tasted alright, especially the trout, something I wouldn't normally eat.
